 My neighbors have definitely destroyed my American dream, just by borrowing money from them.

Charley has offered me a job, I haven't accepted it since I don't need that much money, it seems an offense to me, I haven't accepted it either because I don't want to feel like a loser and out of pride, I honestly know he did it for my good but I wouldn't like it that people see me like this, I will pay my debts little by little and I will see what to do and how to do it on my own

  Linda is very annoying, insisting all the time that she change her work area, and it's not that I feel like it very much. Last night I saw her fixing her stockings very slowly, it makes me too nervous, since I had a flashback of when I gave socks to my lover. I'm tired of this old woman, I'm thinking of divorcing now and going with a younger one, with someone who doesn't depress me just looking at her.  So I've decided to move on my own, I need a new environment, I've met a wonderful man there, I think I'm getting to know myself, I have found my favorite place.

17 september 1931

 The neighbor's son, Bernard , is very intelligent, orderly, he is good at business, etc., he is like his father. That's why I've asked him for advice to be more successful in life and do well, but I think he's lying to me because he says he doesn't know anything about it. Surely Charley is very demanding with him, since he doesn't let him go out with anyone, he forces him to study and although he is very intelligent and hard-working, he has no friends and no social life.
